Abstract: Recent progress in development of intense, ultrashort optical pulses opens new avenues for research of novel arrangements at very short time scales. In our recent papers an occurrence of Cherenkov-type radiation in a resonant string of dipoles excited by an ultrashort pulse at superluminal velocity with a double-frequency structure was predicted. In this article we consider a control of these frequencies by a pulse train containing many pump pulses. Investigated phenomena allows one to control the dynamics of radiation emitted by resonant periodic structures.
