Abstract: Using the SLitrani code a model that describes optical processes taking place in GSO crystal has been developed. The optical model describes well real crystals with same geometrical dimensions and the same percentage of cerium. On the basis of the model, the simulation of the segmented calorimeter for the COMET experiment has been made using Geant4 code. The energy resolution, obtained in simulations ( 6%), corresponds to the energy resolution of prototype calorimeter on GSO crystals, which has been measured on 105-MeV electron beam experimentally.
