Abstract: In the frame of reaction mechanisms study the investigation of solid state interactions both in powder metal oxide mixes and in systems of diffusion couples was carried out, thus models of reactions between separate grains in powder mixes were built. Diffusion couple technique was used for determination of phase equilibrium and reaction mechanisms for the main binary and quasi-binary sections of YO1,5S - BaO - CuO phase diagram.
