| Abstract: | Данная статья посвящена вопросам методической сложности перевода имен собственных в произведении Нтозаке Шанге «Сассафрас, Сайпресс и Индиго». Автор статьи прибегает к таким приемам перевода ономастических наименований (Sassafrass, Cypress, Indigo) как транскрипция, транслитерация и калькирование. Также, данная публикация затрагивает вопрос проблемы этнического самосознания — конфликт этнической самоидентификации в современном мире; феномены аккультурациии ассимиляции. В результате анализа, автор доказывает обоснованность использования транскрипции как оптимального приема перевода имен главных героинь произведения. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article examines method complexity of the translation of proper names in Ntozake Shange’s work “Sassafrass, Cypress & Indigo”. The author resorts to such translation methods as transcription, transliteration and calquing. Likewise, the article touches upon the issue of ethnic identity problem — the conflict of ethnic self-identification in today’s world; acculturation and assimilation phenomena.The analysis result proves the validity of the transcription method useas the best translation mode of the main characters’ names. |
