Abstract:	Разглядаецца становішча ў Беларускай ССР у канцы 1980 – пачатку 1990-х гадоў і ўплыў перабудовы на актывізацыю знешнепалітычнай дзейнасці рэспублікі. Адзначаецца роля Дэкларацыі аб дзяржаўным суверэнітэце БССР у аднаўленні беларускай дзяржаўнасці і фарміраванні асноў знешняй палітыкі незалежнай Беларусі. Аналізуюцца дыпламатычныя ініцыятывы дэлегацыі БССР на 45-й і 46-й сесіях Генеральнай Асамблеі ААН (1990 і 1991 гг.), накіраваныя на міжнародную падтрымку Беларусі ў справе мінімізацыі наступстваў аварыі на Чарнобыльскай АЭС і стварэнне ў Цэнтральнай і Усходняй Еўропе без’ядзернай зоны. Падкрэсліваецца новая роля і месца Рэспублікі Беларусь у ААН пасля атрымання незалежнасці ў 1991 г.
Abstract (in another language):	The situation in the Belarusian SSR in the late 1980s and early 1990s and the impact of perestroika on the intensification of the republic's foreign policy activity are considered. The role of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the BSSR in the restoration of Belarusian statehood and the formation of the foundations of the foreign policy of independent Belarus is noted. The diplomatic initiatives of the BSSR delegation at the 45th and 46th sessions of the UN General Assembly (1990 and 1991) aimed at international support to Belarus in minimizing the consequences of the Chernobyl accident and the creation of a nuclear-free zone in Central and Eastern Europe are analyzed. The new role and place of the Republic of Belarus in the UN after gaining independence in 1991 is emphasized
